The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County leads the way in nurturing, promoting and celebrating the artistic and cultural community in one of Florida’s largest and most diverse counties. The Council is focused on developing and maintaining a thriving arts and cultural environment. One annual event that they present is the Street Painting Festival in Lake Worth, Florida. The 2-day event transforms the downtown streets with more than 200 street paintings covering more area than any other festival of its kind in the U.S. Hundreds of artists converge to display their diverse talents on the asphalt using only chalk. As part of a Cultural Council’s video series, See the Arts Through a Different Lens, the Playimage video production team caught up with a pair of chalk artist, known as The Chalk Guys. With the festival as the backdrop, this fast paced video introduces the viewer to The Chalk Guys, the festival and this interesting art medium.
